New music to weekdays (January 30, 2013)

Excitement in the JOY camp this week - it only happens occasionally, but we ALWAYS love to hear from one of our faves, Paulini. Her new independent release, remixed by Sydney producers Oxford Hustlers, is perfect for her forthcoming Mardi Gras performance.

Our other Aussie contribution is from Sydney producer Hook N Sling, teaming up with international dance royalty - originally harking from the local Melbourne outpost of Ivanhoe - the Nervo twins. Another great remix from our friends at Cahill to get Nicole Scherzinger's 2nd album push started, plus some nice summer anthems out of Canada and the Netherlands to round us out.

Paulini - Heartbreak is Over (Oxford Hustlers radio edit) (IND)
Hook N Sling & Nervo - Reason (SME)
Nicole Scherzinger - Boomerang (Cahill radio edit) (INT/UMG)
Glenn Morrison ft. Mike Tompkins - Secrets (ROBBINSENT)
Wildstylez ft. Niels Geusebroeck - Year of Summer (CSR/UMA)

New music to weekdays (January 23, 2013)

Last week I told you JT would grow on you. Well, your feedback indicates otherwise, so consider it gone! This week I'm predicting a 100% hit rate ... !

Out, proud, independent Sydney artist Elliot Brown starts us off with his debut release. LA-based female duo Electric Stiletto debut with a song that holds no resemblance to the Madonna release of the same name.

Solid follow-ups, albeit very different styles, from the UK's Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora as well as some more trashtastic pop from Ke$ha. Enjoy.
Elliot Hamilton Brown - Yeah Baby (IND)

Electric Stiletto - Turn Up the Radio (MOS/UMA)
Ellie Goulding - Figure 8 (UMA)
Ke$ha - C'Mon (SME)
Rita Ora - Radioactive (SME)

New music to weekdays (January 16, 2013)

Aussie music from independent Melbourne lass Mel Jade, as well as Melbourne based Evermore and Sydney based Van She.  Gay content from out & proud Swedish independent Jonas Oakland, check him out (he's just a bit cute!)

Gay rights affirmation and a gorgeous message from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - already into the top 10 here in Australia thanks to mainstream commercial radio support - means we can't not add a hip hop song to JOY weekdays!

And finally, JT is back with a new album in the works for later in the year.  Like "Sexyback" in 2006, "Suit & Tie" assisted by Mr Beyonce Knowles may not grab you straight away, but it'll grow on you!

Mel Jade - Monday (IND)
Van She - You're My Rescue (MOD/UMA)
Evermore - Hero (UMA)

Jonas Oakland - When the Music Dies (IND)

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Same Love (ATL/WMA)
Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (RCA/SME)

New music to weekdays (January 9, 2013)

So let's get the new music for the year started.  Melbourne out & proud producer James Fraser is Stereolove and he's come up with a brand new re-work of the '96 classic from the UK's Sarah Washington.  Dan Knight is an out & proud Sydney based singer/songwriter and he's back on the music scene after a couple of years off.  Lydia Denker is an independent Melbourne lass, best known for her 2004 top 40 hit "One Perfect Day" from the movie of the same name.

Internationally, we've got German dance producer R.I.O. with another summer anthem, the UK's boyband juggernaut One Direction rolls on with their next preppy little single and we've added a little extra gay for the glamberts out there as well.

Stereolove ft. Sarah Washington - Heaven (stereolove)
Dan Knight - Don't Hold Me Back (IND)
Lydia Denker - Voices (IND)

R.I.O. ft. Nicco - Party Shaker (video edit) (CSR/UMA)
One Direction - Kiss You (SME)
Adam Lambert - Trespassing (SME)
